Facebook Fact and Fiction

Graham Cluley has pointed out another widespread hoax warning. This one claims that a known bug resulting in users appearing in their own friends lists is an exploitable back door.

In fact, there is no evidence at all that the “Hacker Door” is associated with any potential compromise.

That doesn’t mean that there are no problems with Facebook security, of course: in fact, anything but. Some of them are pointed out here.
