Fake Adobe Updates [pointer]

This is a malware spam/scam issue, not a chain letter, but as this page is picking up quite a few people who seem to be as interested in the whole spam/fraud/SEO poisoning/social engineering messaging thing as traditional hoaxes and no-one else seems to be mentioning it so far, I thought I’d mention it here, especially as there seems to be no coverage of the issue yet.

My blog post at ESET expands on Adobe’s alert about malicious emails that claim to come from them, but also makes some points about how Adobe really handles security advisories, bulletins and updates, so I won’t cover the same ground any further in this post.
