It seems a while since I wrote about support desk spams (see Support scams and Social Engineering and Computer Support Scams), but they evidently haven’t gone away. Sunbelt’s Alex Eckelberry drew my attention to a blog by Tom Kelchner, based, in its turn, on a blog expressing rather nicely how such scams are delivered. I thought of describing it as “pet”ulant, but thought better of it. 😉
